30 Ways to earn money online!

About.com - Writers can become guides on  specific topics on about.com. You do need in-depth knowledge about a given topic . Guides make excellent money  for a few hours a day
work but it can be hard to break into and they are very selective . Look for the list of open topic areas


 Ebay - Sell your extras, gently used kids toys, clothing, cd's and movies, crafts, virtually anything on Ebay or buy at local yard sales and re-sell, especially if you know what items are "hot "ones.


Affiliate programs-  Places like amazon , commission junction and others offer affiliate programs where you earn a percentage of the sale when someone buys through your link.  I do this on my blogs but am actually  very selective in what I choose. It must be an item or book that I truly like. Just makes me feel better about it.


Become a mystery shopper- Ok, so this is not online obviously, but I had to put it as a great way for Moms to earn extra money. After mystery shopping, usually you fill out online observations and questionnaires in order to get paid. Try volition.com


InfoBarrel.com - Another way to earn income from writing online.Good site!  Pays 75% of google adsense and even a small percentage on people you refer.


Sell Photos online - Your great pics can be sold and earn you some income. There may be a fee to join some of them. Try shutterstock, fotolia, or bid stock photo.


Cashle - Surveys, contests and games. Fun site and pays for referrals too.


Chacha - Become a guide at Chacha and provide well-researched answers to questions that web surfers ask.   


Swagbucks - Earn  points when you surf the web, watch videos, play games etc.

Cashcrate - Get paid to complete offers.


SendEarnings Try SendEarnings  for easy surveys, offers, pay for clicks.

Network marketing/Direct Sales. In my case, I am a Visalus Body By Vi promoter and help people commit to health goals. I get to work mostly online through sites like facebook , so it's very fun and great for stay at home Moms.  With other companies, Moms can hold fun home parties, sell at fairs and festivals, or from catalog shows.  There are SO many great opportunities out there! Try wahm.com to get started browsing.

Squidoo - Pages here are known as Lenses. The more the popular lens more the money you get paid. 


Triond - Your articles are published on various websites on the triond network. You can publish anything from poetry to highly specific articles. Earn by views and adsense. .If you look on the right sidebar, you'll see the widget with a link to my articles. Please go check them out.


Helium - Another article writing site.Earn on traffic or exclusive writing assignments.


Hubpages.com- Upload articles, videos, even recipes and polls .Create your own "hubs" 
and earn with adsense and other ways. 


Redgage- Ok, another article site . Or upload pics. Pays by view. Comment on others articles and pictures to get more traffic to your content.


OpinionPlace.com - Another good survey site to earn points and cash in.


HarrisPollOnline.com- Online survey site.Good one


 Zazzle.com - Sell your designs or become an associate and sell their products. I designed some tee-shirts, forgot about them and got a check months later! Who knew it could be that easy?


 Paid View Point- Easy survey site and pays for referrals too


Tutor.com- Become an online tutor. Great for college students, teachers, ex-teachers and any professionals with knowledge in certain areas.   

Epinions- Write high-quality product reviews , earn points to cash in.

Mturk- Do small tasks  and get paid for them. 

SurveySpot.com - Another  survey site 

Fiverr.com - List anything that you will  do or create for five dollars and make money when someone buys your service or product.  Interesting stuff listed.


Blog- There are many ways to earn by blogging and driving traffic to your blog.  You can earn google adsense cash ( you have to set up the free account) of course on any blog. You can also sell affiliate programs, earn free products by reviewing items, and / or grow your direct sales biz or home crafting products by offering them for sale. 

The visual marketing MANIA of Pinterest

Are you on Pinterest yet?


I found some impressive stats on this very cool, very unique and very fast growing CRAZE  called Pinterest!


 Pinterest currently has over 12 million unique monthly visitors ( and as I type this, I'm sure that number is growing!)


9 Million of those visitors are connected through facebook. And a full 97% of Pinners, or Pintera-holics are women.


And , get this, Pinterest is generating MORE traffic to sites than youtube, Google plus and linked in combined!


Basically this means if YOU have a product you market,a small business,  a craft you make, an item you sell, a blog, or just about anything that you need traffic for, you NEED to be on Pinterest!


Even brands like Gap, Etsy, HGTV , Whole foods, and more are on it.


So how does it work?
Basically you create virtual pin boards of  pictures of items , or places, or people you like.


You then "follow" other people's boards for more ideas and they can follow you back. Kind of "liking" a facebook page but with less interaction.


You can "like" items, comment on them and even better , for small business, is that you can add your  blog or site URL to the items you sell.


So if I see a fab pair of earrings on someone's board, they'll most likely be a link to the seller of these earrnings.


This is HUGE marketing for sites like ETSY where crafters can reach a much larger audience than they normally do.


Or if I see a delish looking cassarole, it will direct me to , say, Southern living magazines site, where the cassarole  and recipe are featured. Again, HUGE HUGE  HUGE visual marketing.


Hmm...yes, I like that term VISUAL MARKETING....I think I'll add it to the title of this post.


To sum it up,  Pinterest is a fascinating, addicting and a fabulous marketing plan. It's the rage in social media that just seems to have no slowing down! Grab a "pin it " button and you can pin images from almost ANY website. 


From the virtual vision boards, to virtual scrap- books of craft ideas, to showcasing a particular product or brand, to an amazing "online cookbook ( instead of scraps of paper or ripped magazine articles),  Pinterest does it all in bright, bold pics with customizable linking allowed. 


I love Pinterest and use it daily for marketing  my health and wellness business to personal recipes I'd like  to try, to growing a following of people who may one day connect with me in more ways than just a common love of say, the color blue, or french onion soup recipes.
Even my 9 year old has her own boards with fashion and room ideas. And cute little kittens. Can't forget the cute little kitten pics, now can we?


So, if you haven't yet, head over to Pinterest and request your invite or have someone you know personally invite you (it's quicker that way I've heard)
and then START PINNING.
( don't say I didn't warn you if you are up until 2 am seeking out pictures of cute kittens, funky clogs, rooms with a view and starfish necklaces..I didn't say it was ALL business and no play!)


Oh yeah, and there's an app for that too. So you can Pin from the beach  or while waiting in line at Sears. How exciting!

The 4 personality keywords you need to use when speaking to prospects

Success tip : When speaking to prospects for your home business , be sure to include info that appeals to the 4 key personality catchwords: FUN. MONEY, FACTS, HELP.


Those who like a FUN business will pick up on statements like how much FUN it is to be part of the company.

Include income statements , like "she's a multiple 6 figure earner in less than a year" to appeal to those seeking MONEY.

The people who like the FACTS need to hear growth figures and key stats like that.

Those who are natural HELPERS will hone in on how you and your leaders are HELPING people and how they can HELP others by being a part of your business too.

Got it? And you can do that all in a few simple sentences combining those things. " EXAMPLE:  My friend and sponser MARY  is such  an awesome and inspiring  leader, earning over 20,000 a MONTH helping people ( lose weight, make money, have successful parties, whatever it is) and she is having  so much FUN  doing it. The company itself grew by 3000% last year and is currently having over 200 people A DAY join! "

Speak with passion and heart and keep it simple and real!

The flexibility factor, the fun factor, the options of working from home.....all appealed to me. Especially the aspect of earning residual income. 


Residual income is like a door. It is there but one must walk through it to enjoy the view on the other side.For a Mom, whether your children are young or grown and out of the house, residual income can mean freedom that no other JOB can ever offer.
